Hazel Road is an 00 gauge layout set around the Stockport/Hazel Grove area in modern/ recent times. It is being used to introduce our young Member(s) to all aspects of layout building. It uses a baseboard re-purposed from an earlier layout.
It will feature a small station, a small Diesel depot/T.M.D., and Signal box etc. This area will be accessed via a three way point under a road bridge. On the other side of the bridge will be a small wagon repair facility.
Various Locos will be seen operating, eg. Class 60s, 66s, 37s etc. and possibly a small shunter.
Passengers will be catered for using mainly two car D.M.Us.
The layout is 8’ by 1’3” in size.
At the time of writing the layout is still a work in progress and there is much to learn!
